Annette Nampijinpa Patrick

Nampijinpa is a very respected community leader in Lajamanu.  She has worked for many years at the school and also providing counseling for others who have lost loved ones.

She rarely gets a moment to paint as she cares for her large family and elderly mother Myra Nungarrayi Patrick / Herbert.  Her artwork often represents a sense of order, because this is the kind of person she is.  Nampijinpa mainly paints Jukurrpa, stories of her countryside that her mother and ancestors lived on until the 1950’s.
