Biography
I am an Aboriginal from the Yidinji Clan in Far North Queensland, Australia, having connections to Palm Island and Yarrabah where my birth parents are from, I was born in 1967 before my mother’s marriage to my father because of that I was taken to children’s home in Brisbane, after 8 months I had met my adoptive family who seen my artistic talent at a young age. My adoptive parents then separated and I went to live with my father in Rockhampton where I was enrolled into art school and that is where my art journey started. We then moved to cairns and became a stockman for 4 years at the age of 19 or 20. when I was 23, I then found my family and turns out they were just over the hill in Yarrabah. After this I then became a Labourer for 7 years. Then finally in 2000’s I went to Tafe in cairns and started an Indigenous Art course which I completed my Certificate III, Diploma and Advanced Diploma, from 2004 I have been developing my art style for the last 15 years to what it is today.
