Linda Tjunkata Allen Anderson was born in Papunya in 1962, and is daughter of famous Papunya Tula painter and actor Nosepeg Tjunkata Tjupurrula and Mantua Napanangka, another of the early Western Desert painters. She is a respected community elder who worked for many years at Papunya School and Community Council and was the inaugural Secretary of Papunya Tjupi Arts.
