Thomas has depicted his märi’s (mother’s mother) Warrawarra clan Warrabunbun dreaming. Warrabunbun, or in his märi’s Burarra language, Wuypa, inhabits Gamurra Gu-yurra, located on the mainland to the west of Milingimbi. He is not the spirit of a person, but a maḻagatj, a supernatural being that looks after Warrawarra country. He goes in the early morning from Gamurra Gu-yurra down to a waterhole called Muḻmuḻma to get water. He hides in the shade, and can sometimes be heard whistling or calling out. He has white and black spots on his body, and eats dhaŋgi (billygoat plum) and warraga (cycad nuts). In this design he is carrying a gara (hunting spear) and a burlupurr (the Burarra word for dilly bag)

All Domestic Shipping is included within the costs of works. International shipping rates will be charged separately at the end of the online fair. Please contact us for rates.
We will begin packing artworks at the conclusion of the online fair, please allow 1-3 weeks for delivery depending on the scale of the work and final destination.
Small works (under 105cm) will be sent with Australia Post with tracking if email is provided. Please check your spam folder for Auspost Tracking message
Larger works will be sent to Darwin with Fly Tiwi or Barge Express (depending on dimensions and weight) to be delivered to final destination by TNT couriers or DHL (for international customers).

Please choose your artwork carefully as all sales are final. Refunds will be available if your package is damaged in transit, please contact studio@milingimbiart.com for more details.

- Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair takes no responsibility for the negotiation, coordination or distribution of freight and shipping of purchases made at the online Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair. Items customers wish to purchase may require a manual quote for freight which will be charged separately.
- Shipping and freight costs are not included in the advertised purchase price unless this is stipulated at the point of purchase of the item by the Art Centre/Vendor.
- All freight and shipping must be arranged directly with the Art Centre/Vendor from where the purchase was made.
- If multiple items are purchased from different Art Centres/Vendors in the same transaction, customers must arrange shipping with each Art Centre/Vendor.
- Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair takes no responsibility for the distribution and arrival times of freight. As the Art Centres/Vendors participating in the online Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair are located in some of the most remote locations in Australia, freight services can be inconsistent.
