Glenda Adamson
Tjala Arts, Kaltjiti Arts & Umoona Community Art CentreGlenda was born at the Alice Springs Hospital and grew up in Amata. Her mother, Queenie Adamson, came to Amata with Glenda’s grandparents when Queenie was a young girl. Glenda’s grandparents had left their traditional country in Western Australia, and their movement to Amata informs Glenda’s tjukurpa, or dreaming. Glenda’s mother, Queenie, painted at Tjala Arts (formerly Minymaku Arts) for many years and was one of the strong artists who formed the backbone of the Art Centre in its early years. Glenda is also the niece on Mona Shepherd, another long-time Tjala artist. Glenda began painting at Tjala Arts in June 2007.
