Karen lives and paints in Mulan community, on Walmajarri country. This area, and the country all around Paraku (Lake Gregory) is Karen’s traditional country.
Karen’s mother, Veronica Lulu is a matriarch of Mulan community. Veronica is an established artist and taught Karen to paint the creation story of Mungil the flower that is abundant in this region.
