Buku-Larrnggay Mulka

My name is Lawawa. I am a Dhuwa woman. I was born in Gan Gan and went to school in Garthalala. After school, I joined the Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Art Centre in 2023 as part of the NXT Gen ARTS Grant. I am the daughter of Djirrirra Wununmgurra. I have learnt from my mother how to work with natural earth pigments in creating art. I love the way art expresses my culture. I have learnt to do many things at the art centre. My favourite thing is learning about printmaking with printmakers Munuy’nu & Bitharr.
