Stephanie Bush Nangala

Stephanie was born in Alice Springs and has been painting at Papunya Tjupi Arts since 2007. Stephanie says “First time painting and with husband and the child. My Grandfather George Wanapa Bush Tjangala. He was artist. His fire dreaming Walukulangu. My Grandmother Doris Bush Nungarrayi. Her home is Nyuman, dog dreaming near Kintore. My mother’s mother (grandmother) dreaming is Water dreaming Kalipinypa. Johnny Warangkula his my grandmother’s brother. My grandmother Pilari Napurrula and my Grandfather that married to my Grandmother his name was Jimmy Nyirritjukurrpa, that’s Glady’s brother that married to Johnny Warangula.”  Her mother is Glenda Poulson Napangarti. Glenda’s dreaming is water at Kunatjarrayi and Kalipinypa. Her father is Christopher Bush Tjampitjinpa and his dreaming is also fire dreaming from the country around Walukulangu (Yuendumu).
