My paintings are about the kapi tjukula. A long time ago my grandparents would walk between rockholes, looking for water, looking after and cleaning the rockholes. They would know where the rockholes, soakage and creeks are, and they would look after them and share this knowledge and teach their children and grandchildren. My grandmother was from the other side of Fregon on the APY Lands. I live in Coober Pedy and have done so my whole life, but I know her Country and I’ve seen the rockholes that she visited.
