If you have ever been immersed within the palawa wilderness, you might have felt the presence of dark and unresting Tasmanian history. Uncle Nick feels the ancestors, the warriors who remain staunch in their protection of Country, watching over visitors, quietly assessing their intentions. Uncle Nick paints these visions after they have settled in his memory. These two hunters are unaware of our presence; they exist in a past life.
Nick Kupetsky is a palawa man from central Tasmania and has been a creative practitioner for over twenty years. Nick’s multi-media practice explores the deep and dark ancestral histories of palawa country, as well as the artist’s own private moments of cultural discovery and revelation.

If you’re looking for a refund of your order, we are here to help! We offer free returns or exchanges within 30 days of receiving your order.
Baluk Arts Return policy
You may return your item to us for an exchange of similar value or a refund. Refunds payments are returned to the original account used to the make the purchase.
Please note the following returns and exchange policy:
- Returned items must have all original documentation, paperwork, tags still on and be returned in original packaging
- Returned items must be in their original condition with no visible signs of wear, use or damage
- Items must be returned within 30 days of purchase date
- To return or exchange an item, please email us at gallery@balukarts.org.au with your order number, product description and reason for return/exchange.
- Shipping costs for returns/exchanges back to Baluk Arts to be paid for by the customer.
