There is a particular hill that is situated on Ngargaroon country that is shaped like a spear: It has existed here since the Ngarankarni (dream-time) “my old people told us about this place of our ancestors who once walked and survived off the land “It is know by it’s traditional name Doomerinji”

Long ago in the Ngarankarni (dream-time) there once lived 2 tribes. One coming from the land and the other from the sea’s side. Among the clans they would gather on this very hill (Doomerinja) and trade/swap with one another- useful tools, sea shells, bush foods etc.. Sharing in each other culture was also something practiced amongst each other.

Until one day an argument started between the two tribes people that sadly ended badly- resulting instant death, because of this incident all of the trading had caused. All tools, spears and shells were then all dropped and left at the top go the hill “we get to actually drive pass the shill every time we go out on my country” (texas)

Within my artwork i have depicted the spear hill dreaming seen in red with surrounding hill n bright ochre colors. The greenish panel that stretches across from one end to the other is what i have described as one of the many creeks or “picnic place” as we like to call it – this particular creek is known as “Black-fella creek” and seen within the bottom are triangular/square shape figures, these are a reflection of the many flat slate stones that lays scattered “in certain areas you can  find them.”
