These are the hills of Ngargaroon (Texas) – they are portrayed through the beautiful bright/earthly colours that can be seen in the top section of my artwork as well as the middle. April has also described a starry-night background within the middle , with splattered colours of white and yellow.

The artist was Inspired by a man whose name was Hector Jandany, “he was one of the first wave of artists in our community. (Warmun/Turkey Creek) and It is from my Mother’s side that this kind old man happened to be my Great Grandfather. I remember him being a very tall and softly spoken person” He was also apart of a foundation of elders that had a voice and a plan for our generation “the next generation and many more top come” – Stating that a Catholic school be built.

The way he described the hills of Texas through his art is just like so – in a simple bold-like approach, yet very beautiful.
