This is about coming from the dark land Alice Springs, and coming to Uluru. The rock is big enough for my mind to stop, the only thing that can contain my mind and control it. I got too much going on inside of me and it stops all of it. I worship the rocks and the spirits that are here.
I’m out here to paint the land and be with it, it’s why I travelled from Alice Springs. I have many stories I must do and I’m only following the spirit of the land but I must paint what comes. Like Maru Ngurrara, Tjintu Kapi. It shows the darkness of all the rain that was happening in Alice and then shows the kapi (rain) as it hits the tali (sand dunes).
