In this dreaming, belonging to Jakamarra/Jupurrurla and Nakamarra/Napurrurla groups, two birds walk in the grasses searching for seeds to eat. They are the Spinifex Pigeon (Warlpiri: Ngarlamarurru; Latin: Petrophassa plumifera) and Diamond Dove (Warlpiri: Kurlukuku; Latin: Geopelia cuneata). The Diamond Dove has blue-green feathers and a crest on the top of its head. The spinifex pigeon is slightly bigger, and nests on the ground. This dreaming story is in the areas of Jiparanpa and Pawurrinji, in the east of Warlpiri country.
