“Those are the sandhills, when it is windy. In the morning, when the suns shining, they’re bright and yellow.
Every time I do painting, I’m thinking about what’s outside there, in the sand hills. They are important to
me. Bush tucker, bush medicine and everything fresh we get from the sandhills. Sometimes we go out there and get bush leaves to smoke our newborn babies. I’m thinking about my family too. Most of my family are artists and when we go out hunting
we get stories from them.”
